Just days before the first round, the federal government decided to extend the deadline for joining Desenrola Adimplentes. Provisional Measure 1.393/2026, issued on Friday (25), increases the negotiation period for workers without formal employment contracts from 90 to 120 days.
With the change, agreements can be closed until October 26, one day after the second round. The same rule created Desenrola Brasil 3.0, a line aimed at renegotiating debts for those already in default.
Reason for the Extension
The Ministry of Finance justified the extension for operational reasons. The program began operating later than planned in the original June MP, so the deadline was adjusted to match the maximum validity period of the measure.
There is no extra cost. Funds have already been transferred to Banco do Brasil, Caixa Econômica Federal and the FGO (Fundo Garantidor de Operações).
How the Program Works
- Debts of up to R$ 15 thousand in unsecured personal credit;
- Maximum delay of 90 days;
- At least four installments already paid;
- Interest limited to 1.99% per month;
- New installment cannot exceed 90% of the original amount;
- Additional credit of up to 50% of the outstanding balance, provided the installment limit is respected.
The goal is to offer lower rates to those without formal employment ties who typically pay high interest in the market.
