The latest survey by the Atlas institute, in partnership with Bloomberg, places President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) leading the presidential race. In the first-round simulation, the PT candidate totals 43.4% of voting intentions.

Next comes Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ), with 33.7%. The difference between the top two is 9.7 percentage points.

Third and fourth places

Further behind, the race is tight. Cury records 7.8%, while Renan appears with 7.6%. Both are within the study's margin of error, which constitutes a technical tie between them.

How the poll was conducted

What the numbers indicate

The data depict the moment of voting intentions for the first round and serve as a snapshot of a specific interval in the campaign. Like every poll, the percentages are subject to variation within the margin of error indicated by the institute and may change as the electoral calendar advances and candidates gain exposure.
