Lula Off the Air
President Lula announced he will not attend the debate organized by TV Globo. The decision opens space for four confirmed candidates: Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), Augusto Cury (Avante) and Romeu Zema (Novo).
When and where it happens
The meeting will be conducted by César Tralli and will air live from 9:30 pm, right after Jornal Nacional. For the first time, the time slot usually occupied by the soap opera "Quem Ama Cuida" will be dedicated to the political program, which can also be followed on g1 and GloboNews.
Question dynamics
The set features a large map of Brazil in the center. Candidates will discuss regional topics such as preservation of the Amazon, border security, combating organized crime and investments in infrastructure for exports.
Each block alternates between fixed topics and free themes. The candidate who formulates the question has two minutes for the question and reply; the respondent has three minutes for the answer and rejoinder.
Change at TSE
On Tuesday (29), minister Nunes Marques, from the Superior Electoral Court, granted a preliminary injunction to the Novo Party. The measure changes previous criteria and ensures that Novo candidates participate in debates on radio and TV from that date. Among the beneficiaries are Kiko Caputo (DF) and André Marinho (RJ).
