Alliances at the Center of Controversies
Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, continues to circulate in the music scene despite strong negative public reactions. His participation in The Town 2027 is part of Slipknot's world tour, with dates also scheduled in London and Latin American countries.
Collaborations with Kanye West
The rapper Ye has become the singer's main recent partner. In August 2021, the two released the track "Jail pt 2" on the album Donda. Manson even took the stage during listening sessions for the album. Both have faced controversies related to Nazi references: Ye publicly praised Hitler and sold T-shirts with swastikas, while the rocker was accused by a former band member of acquiring items with similar symbols.
Presence in Independent Rock
In 2023, Manson recorded vocals for "God Is a Weapon" by the band Falling in Reverse and appeared in the music video. The following year, he participated in the song "The Tailor" on the solo album Hollow by Billy Morrison, a guitarist known for his work with Billy Idol.
Accusations and Legal Developments
Since 2021, several women, including actresses Esme Bianco and Evan Rachel Wood, have reported episodes of physical, sexual and psychological abuse. Manson denies all allegations.
In January 2025, the Los Angeles prosecutor's office chose not to file criminal charges, citing the statute of limitations in some cases and lack of evidence in others. Civil lawsuits remain ongoing. A lawsuit filed by the former assistant was reopened and is scheduled for trial in November 2027.
