Goal and Immediate Concern
Kylian Mbappé, Real Madrid striker and captain of the French national team, experienced a mix of euphoria and frustration in France's debut in the Nations League. Right after scoring the goal that secured a 1-0 victory over Turkey, the player felt pain in his knee and had to leave the pitch.
Early Substitution on Zidane's Debut
At the 13th minute of the second half, Zinedine Zidane, in his first match as team coach, was forced to make the change. Mbappé tried to return to the game after medical attention, but fell again and couldn't continue.
Zidane commented on the incident: "Unfortunately, it doesn't look good. He will need to return. We won't take risks. There is swelling in the knee and the situation is not encouraging."
Federation Confirmation
The French Football Federation announced that the athlete has a knee tendon injury and will return to Madrid for treatment. The positive result on the pitch took a backseat to concerns about the physical condition of the main player.
