Quaest released on Monday the latest data on the preferences of the Brazilian electorate in the presidential race. The survey arrives at a strategic moment, just before the debate scheduled for next Thursday (1st) on the Globo network.
Confirmed participation in the confrontation
Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) announced on Sunday (27) that he will attend the event and expressed his expectation of confronting current president Lula (PT) directly. The poll reflects the first snapshot after the government's decision to ban sports betting, a measure announced by Lula on Friday (25).
Comparison with the previous survey
Last week the numbers showed Lula with 37% of voting intentions in the first round, followed by Flávio Bolsonaro with 33% and Augusto Cury (Avante) with 6%. The new study aims to capture any impacts of the restriction on bets.
