The singer Rey Vaqueiro was involved in an air accident in the early hours of this Sunday (13), in the city of Parelhas, in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte. The information was confirmed with no reports of injuries among the aircraft's occupants.
Despite the scare, no one required medical attention due to the incident, which quickly began circulating on social media and among the artist's fans.
Who is Rey Vaqueiro
A rising name on the forró de vaquejada and piseiro circuit, Rey Vaqueiro has been building a solid career in recent years and already appears at the genre's main festivals in the country.
The singer is mentored by Wesley Safadão, one of the biggest names in Northeastern music and a national reference when it comes to forró and pisadinha. His proximity to Safadão helped launch the artist in an increasingly competitive market.
The hit that boosted his career
Among Rey Vaqueiro's most successful works is the song "Body Splash", which has racked up millions of plays and became one of the main gateways for audiences to discover the singer's repertoire.
The track's performance on digital platforms consolidated his name among the artists who have been renewing the piseiro scene, a movement that dominates parties and stages in the Northeast and is gaining ground in other regions of Brazil.
Presence at major festivals
The singer's schedule includes performances at large-scale events, which highlights the strength of his fan base and the market's bet on his potential. Alongside his mentor, Rey Vaqueiro is part of a generation that turned the rhythm into a public phenomenon.
Reaction
In the hours following the incident, fans and fellow professionals expressed relief at the news that no one was injured. The episode, however, once again highlights the risks faced by artists who keep intense show schedules across the country.
So far, there has been no official detail about the circumstances of the air accident in Parelhas, nor about the continuation of the commitments already scheduled on the singer's agenda.
