São Paulo FC is going through another chapter of financial difficulties, with the squad facing four consecutive months without receiving image rights. The months in question are June, July, August and September, and the club has not yet paid the installment planned for this last period.
Impact on Athletes
Some players have debts reaching six months, although most of the group is on average four months behind. This situation adds to other problems, such as payroll payment that was also postponed at the beginning of the month.
Hope in the Agreement with Ticketmaster
The club places its expectations on a contract that will be voted on in the Deliberative Council on Tuesday, with results expected on Wednesday. The agreement provides for the advance of R$ 110 million, with R$ 30 million released immediately after signing and the remainder within 45 days.
This amount acts as a loan to be repaid in five years, with interest based on CDI plus 1.99%. São Paulo has not commented on the new delay until the time of publication.
Context of Payments in Football
In Brazilian football, athletes' earnings are usually divided between registered salary and image rights. São Paulo had been keeping only one month of delay in recent years, but president Harry Massis had promised to regularize everything at the beginning of 2026.
